Full Time Bakery Manager (FILLED)-

The Bakery Manager position is located in Pateros, WA. The position is to be filled on or before December 1st 2009. The salary will be based upon prior experience and proved abilities. Vacation benefits are provided.

We are looking for a take charge person who can improve our operations, increase our sales and has good customer and office skills.

SweetRiver Bakery Manager Knowledge and Skills

  • Provide a clean, fun and safe environment for their employees and customers.
  • Control expenses, shrinkage and inventory levels in the bakery.
  • Provide ideas for a “daily special” menu.
  • Knowledge of food preparation requirements.
  • Order product, stock shelves, rotate product and maintain adequate inventory for the bakers.
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to perform cash register functions to generate reports.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance and internal processes.
  • Good organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where limited standardization exists.
  • Minimum 1 year experience managing a bakery, restaurant, grocery, convenience store or other comparable work environment.
